Theme – Macroeconomic Policy Making: Prospects and Challenges

The Annual Conference of Sarla Anil Modi School of Economics aims to bring researchers and industry experts together to exchange and share their experiences and empirical evidence on a broad spectrum of macroeconomic issues pertaining to the real and financial sectors of the economy. The conference intends to deliberate insightful discussions on topics such as economic growth, price stability, prospects and challenges faced at the sectoral level, labour market infirmities, public debt, trade, supply chain management etc.

Topics include but are not limited to the following:

Migration, Labour Dynamics and Unemployment.
Banking sector reforms and implications
Financial sector components such as stock markets, exchange rates and bond markets.
Fiscal-monetary policy coordination and debt management
International trade and trade imbalances.
Services sector growth and its implications on the economy
Industrial policy and manufacturing sector growth

We will also be organizing a Research Colloquium on the day of the conference for students of economics, who are in their early stages of research (UG, PG, 1^st Year Ph.D.).

Abstracts not exceeding 250 words and Papers or research proposals not exceeding 10,000 words should be submitted as MS Word document via email to aec@nmims.edu.

Note

There is no submission fee.
Authors of papers that are selected for presentation during the conference will have to pay a registration fee of Rs. 500. Details regarding mode of payment will be communicated to the selected participants.
No registration fee will be charged from authors of papers that are selected for presentation during the research colloquium.
All paper presenters will receive the Certificate of Presentation.
Best paper will be awarded a Certificate of Appreciation and Cash Prize.
