Students of B. Sc. Economics comprising Upamannyu Sinha, Taliya Khan, Mahak Mittal, Palki Aggarwal and guided by faculty Dr Rohit Muraleedharan participated in the RBI Policy Challenge National Finals held at RBI head office Mumbai on 22nd April 2019. The team came 4th in the finals and they received a cash prize of ₹ 25,000/-. They had presented ‘The framing of monetary policy during a period of low food inflation under flexible inflation targeting framework’.
Students of B. Sc. They had presented ‘Banking Sector in India- Challenges and Opportunities’ in Regional round and an ‘analysis of the Financial Stability Report issue no. 18’ in the Zonal round. They would be competing in the national finals to be held in the RBI head office in Mumbai.

Aditya Jahagirdar of T.Y. B.Sc. Economics, was chosen for the 13th annual South Asian Economics Students Meet, an undergraduate Economics conference sponsored by the World Bank. He won the ‘Budding Economist of South Asia’ title at Kathmandu. He competed against the top minds from not only India but also six other south Asian nations- Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
