Convocation 2023

SVKM's NMIMS hosted its Convocation Ceremony on Friday, 4th August, 2023 at the MukeshPatel Auditorium. Five schools under the umbrella of SVKM NMIMS - Sarla Anil Modi School of Economics, Kirit P. Mehta School of Law, Jyoti Dalal School of Liberal Arts, School of Branding & Advertising, and School of Agricultural Sciences and Technology participated in the convocation ceremony. The Chief Guest for the event was distinguished Shri. Nishith Desai, Founder of Nishith Desai Associates. On the dias were Shri Pravin Doshi, Managing Committee Member and Nominee of Hon’ble Chancellor; Dr. Sharad Mhaiskar, Pro Vice Chancellor, SVKM’s NMIMS; Shri Nishith Desai, Founder Nishith Desai Associates; Prof. Amita Vaidya, Director - SAMSOE; Dr. Durgambini Patel, Dean - KPMSOL; Dr. Anirrban Ghosh, Associate Dean - SOBA; Dr. Achyut Vaze, Dean - SoAST and Mr. Ashish Apte, Controller of Examination, SVKM’s NMIMS. The proceedings were guided by the compere, Dr. Neha Singh Agarwal, faculty member SOBA. The event's solemnity was established with the lighting of the lamp, followed by the NMIMS Anthem. Oath was administered by Dr. Sharad Mhaiskar. Shri Pravin Doshi, conferred the award of degrees. Awards were handed over by the Chief Guest, Shri. Nishith Desai accompained by Dr. Sharad Mhaiskar. The convocation address by Shri. Nishith Desai was insightful and inspirational, encouraging the graduates to embrace the opportunities that lay ahead. Shri Desai’s words resonated with the graduating classes, as he spoke about the challenges and the bright opportunities that awaited them. Dr. Rakesh Nambiar, Asst. Professor - KPMSOL, extended the vote of thanks.

In retrospect, SVKM’s NMIMS Convocation 2023 was an embodiment of academic excellence, unity, and aspiration. It stands as a testament to the power of education, determination, and collective effort. It was a day that celebrated not just the end of an academic journey at NMIMS, but the dawn of a new era filled with possibilities.
