CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

An intercollegiate debate competition - Shastrarth was organized on 10^th October 2020. The event was conducted online on the virtual events platform Airmeet. There were total 402 registrations all over India and 2 foreign registrations. The preliminary round followed the Oxford-style of debating with the semi-finals and finals being conducted in a unique Lincoln-Douglas format to harmonize with the online platform. The topic for finals was – "This house believes that the pandemic has exposed the need to revise the growth-centred development model in favour of a resilience-based one.”

Kamalkoli Majumdar from Presidency University was the winner got the cash prize of Rs. 12,000/-. The Runner up was Kriti Ghai - La Martiniere Girls college, Lucknow got cash prize of Rs. 8,000/-.

• Webinar on ‘The Optimism in Gender Differences’ was conducted on 12.09.2020 by Mrs. Kavita N Ramdas - Former CEO of the Global Fund for Women and South Asia’s former operations head for Ford Foundation was the speaker.
• Webinar on ‘Menstruation Matters. Period’ was conducted on 26.09.2020 by Ms. Kathy Walkling, Co-Founder, EcoFemme
