  • Shastrarth- 2019 an Inter-Collegiate Debate Competition

"Debate and Divergence can only enrich our honesty and culture”. Shastrarth 2019 proved to be a perfect prototype of a platform that provided the participants with an opportunity to put their speaking, articulating and listening skills to a rigorous test. Conducted on 28th September 2019, the inter collegiate debate fest of Sarla Anil Modi School of Economics achieved greater heights in its eighth edition.
There were three rounds in Shastrarth: Preliminary, Semi-Finals and Finals.
Total 51 teams competed in the prelims, out of which 12 teams got qualified for semi-finals and two teams were selected for Finals.
Winning team: Sarla Anil Modi School of Economics
First Runner up team: Praveen Gandhi College of Law
Best speaker: Muskaan Sofet (Sarla Anil Modi School of Economics)
The success of Shastrarth lies in the indomitable spirit of the committee members. The team worked hard for more than two months to make it a bigger event. Not to forget the enthusiastic participants who displayed commendable debating skills and finally the college administration who backed the students at every stage.
It was a joint effort of the conveners, co-conveners, department heads and other team members who worked tirelessly for Shastrarth’19.
