EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES 2014 – 15

Fury Futsal Inter collegiate Football competition

‘FURY FUTSAL’ inter-collegiate football competition organized by SAM-SOE was held at Ritumbara ground (P.A. Mhatre Sports Academy), next to R.N. Shah School, next to PVR Juhu on February 19 & 20, 2015. Championship trophy won by MPSTME and runners up was Clara College.

School Activities

  • On September 2, 2014 T.Y. students Participated in Thalassemia & Blood Donation camp conducted by the School of Science.
  • On August 27, 2014 Thalassemia awareness session was conducted by School of Science for T.Y. B.Sc. Economics students.
  • Intra college debate competition was held on July 26, 2014. 9 teams from all 3 batches participated. Best team awarded to Shubham Chawla and Raashi Nahata, S.Y. B.Sc. and the Best Speaker awarded to Sumedha Jain, F.Y.B. Sc. Economics

Participation in Intercollegiate Festivals

Students of Sarla Anil Modi School of Economics participated in a fest BLAZE 2015 organized by The Investment and Finance cell of H.R.College of Commerce and Economics Contingent Leader: Yash Padegaonkar (FY div. A)

Sarla Anil Modi School of Economics wins 2nd runners up position in the overall fest.

Students of SAMSOE have been participating in various inter-collegiate festivals across the city.

Russell Square International College Football Tournament (21st and 22nd December 2014)

SAMSOE college football team took part in 16 team football tournament and reached the Semifinals.

VAAYU 2014

  • Ayush Banerjee and Mudit Dugar (SY students) represented Sarla Anil Modi School of Economics in the National Intra-College Debate at Jai Hind on 1st and 2nd of August, 2014. They secured the first prize.
  • Name of Festival: Arthanomics 2014 (Economics Fest)
  • The proposition in the final round was "Crypto currency like bitcoins have a feasible future on a gloabl scale".
  • Mudit Dugar and Nisant Mohta participated in Compressing and Harnessing an Omnipresent System (C.H.A.O.S.) at HR College's Mathematical and Statistical Fest, Numero Uno 2014. They stood 3rd in the event.
  • Kabir Sethi from F.Y. B.Sc. Economics got 2nd prize in "MUNTASTIC” organized by ASMSOC on August 23, 2014
  • Akhil Jain from F.Y. B.Sc. got 1st place in event Blur in Umang intercollegiate fest.
